Data-subject requests (GDPR)

Export or erase one person's data to support obligations like the GDPR.

Where to find it

Open People, click the person, and use the Data & privacy actions on their page. These help an admin respond to data-subject requests — the kind you receive under regulations like the GDPR. (Your OWN data lives under Settings → Privacy & data.)

Export a person's data

On the person's page, click Export data. You get a portable file of what the workspace holds about them, which you can hand to the requester.

Erase a person

Erasure removes an individual's personal data on request. Their account is disabled immediately — they can no longer sign in. After the 30-day grace period their personal details (email, photo and sign-in identifiers) are erased and they drop out of people pickers and seat counts. Their name stays on the records they took part in, as your organisation's business record, so your operational and audit history stays intact.

Good to know

  • These actions are admin-only and are written to the audit log.
  • Erasure is designed to satisfy a deletion request while keeping your business records intact and consistent.
If you have a Data Processing Agreement in place, these tools are how you action the requests it covers. For anything you can't self-serve, contact us.
