An answer to "who did that?"
The activity log records the changes that matter — who was given or removed access, who changed a role, who deleted or restored a record. It's there so you can always answer who did what, and when.
What's recorded
Entries are grouped into categories so one busy area never buries another:
- Access — members added or removed, role and permission changes, group membership, custom roles.
- Records — records created, edited, deleted, restored and purged.
- Structure — projects, locations and the organisation tree.
Each entry shows when it happened, who did it, and a before/after of exactly what changed. A change made through an API key is recorded under the key's name, so machine changes are always distinguishable from human ones.
Who can see it
The activity log is admin-only — it needs the manage people permission. You'll find it at the foot of the navigation rail.
Kept honest
The log is append-only: entries can't be edited or deleted from the app, so the trail can't be quietly rewritten. Entries are retained for at least 180 days.
